Red Raiders Well-Represented in All-NCKL Football Selections

The North Central Kansas League (NCKL) has announced its all-league football selections for the 2024 season, with Wamego High School's Red Raiders earning multiple first-team honors and honorable mentions, highlighting the program's strong performance this year.

Eight Red Raiders earned first-team recognition, showcasing the team's depth on both sides of the ball. The offensive unit was led by running back Tate Warren, whose explosive plays helped power Wamego's ground game throughout the season. He was joined by wide receiver Jackson Tupps and tight end Hayden McCarthy, who proved to be reliable targets in the passing game. Cody Mayer anchored the offensive line, earning first-team honors for his consistent protection and run blocking.

On the defensive side, the Red Raiders' secondary was particularly well-represented, with both Kasen Hall and Jacob DeRouchey earning first-team selections at defensive back. Linebacker Brody Oviatt was recognized for his contributions to the defensive unit, while Brody Graber's punting abilities earned him special teams honors.

Three additional Red Raiders received honorable mention recognition: Ryan Heald for his work on the offensive line, quarterback Logan Fulton for his leadership of the offense, and Talon Conrad for his performance at linebacker.
